In a Captain's Choice, or Scramble, each player tees off on each hole. Traditionally, the best of the tee shots is selected & all players play their second shot from that spot. The better of the second shots is determined & then all play their third shot from that spot, & so on until the ball is holed. By rule, once a ball is in the cup, no additional strokes may be taken. For each shot through the green, placement of the ball must be within one (1) club-length not closer to the hole. It must lie within the same condition as the selected shot (fairway, rought, bunker, etc.). Once on the green, placement of the ball must be within one (1) putter-head no closer to the hole. Men will play from the WHITE tees, seniors (60+) from the GREEN tees, & ladies from the RED tees.

Awards will be given to the top 2-3 teams in both the NET & GROSS categories, so get your handicaps ready! Teams may only place in one of the two categories. The size of the field will determine if any additional places will be recognized. Before & during play, there will be a few contests being held. Some of the contests are still being finalized & will be officially announced as the tournament draws near. In the past, we have had a $10,000 hole-in-one, $2500 putting contest, & $100,000 shoot-out. We will most certainly have a long-drive & closest-to-the-pin contest, as well as hole-in-one contests on all the par 3s.

During the pre-event registration, everyone will have the option of purchasing mulligans that can be used on the course during play. These muligans will also double as tickets for a raffle to win a door-prize. We will also have a seperate raffle drawing form some of the bigger raffle prizes that will be noted below. Please check back as we'll be updating the list as prizes are donated.
- General Dynamics has donated three dozen Titleist Pro-V1x, two dozen TaylorMade Penta, & some custom imprinted golf towels.
- The Golf Fitting Studios at Westfields has donated a one-hour custom golf fitting & some premium golf clubs.
- The Wildcat Golf team has donated a dozen each Titleist Pro-V1 & NXT-Tour, an embroidered Nike team polo, & team visor by The Game.
- Foursomes at the following courses will be available: Westfields Golf Club, Bull Run Golf Club, Country Club of Fairfax, Chantilly National Golf & County Club, South Riding Golf Club, & Pleasant Valley Golf Club.
